About us
We are an independently owned ultrasound company. This means we are not affiliated with any medical office or hospital and we do not provide scanning for medical review. The owner of this company has a very successful cardiac sonography business and has an outstanding reputation in the Charleston area. She saw a need for entertainment-only scanning in the Lowcountry and decided to take matters into her own hands to offer her clients the best care and experience possible.
Located in the heart of Summerville, our location is central and accessible to anyone in the Charleston area. Our in-home office allows for a cozy, private, clean and spacious environment for expecting mothers and their families. No more stiff, clinical office spaces that are the size of supply closets! Here you can relax and enjoy the comforts that come along with a privately owned practice.
WHAT DOES ENTERTAINMENT -ONLY MEAN?
Entertainment-only ultrasounds are exactly as the name suggests. These are non-diagnostic, non-clinical ultrasounds that allow expecting mothers to view their babies on their own time. Most insurances cover only a minimal amount of ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy, so women are having to wait months just to get a short glimpse at their baby. In most cases, these ultrasounds only last a few minutes and are only for the technician to get readings and measurements. Here, we offer you the unique opportunity to sit back and enjoy seeing your miracle move and jump and respond to different stimuli. We will take as many pictures as you would like and always strive to capture the best and sweetest moments we can during your time with us.
We offer plenty of room and seating for family members to join in on the scan. We want your friends and family to be involved in this process because it takes a village to raise a family and we think that village should have the chance to see the baby too!
CAN THIS TAKE PLACE OF MY SCHEDULED ULTRASOUNDS?
The answer to this is ABSOLUTELY NOT. Because we do not have a doctor on staff and are not affiliated with any medical practice, we cannot offer diagnostic scans. Upon arrival to your first appointment, we will require proof of active care from a doctor or other healthcare provider. This is to ensure the safety and health of both mother and child. Services that we do not offer include but are not limited to: abnormality detection, due date estimation and weight/length progression of the baby.
